Chalet Sorbier is one of Meribel's original chalets. It is built in a traditional style and has been sympathetically updated to retain its charm and character. There are 5 ensuite bedrooms and a cosy lounge with open fire and outstanding views of the Chaudanne and up to Mottaret and the surrounding peaks. An idyllic setting on a vehicle free track amongst the pine trees - possibly one of the best locations in central Meribel. Ski in/out access makes for the perfect start and end to each day.

The large living room with open log fire is the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine after a day on the slopes. The living room has a big corner sofa, TV with Freesat, large open fire and picture windows with stunning views over the mountains. The dining table sits 10 guests, and has French windows onto the balcony where you can take in the panoramic views.

Two large ensuite bedrooms, both with twin beds which can also be made up as large doubles. Bedroom 1 also has an extra single bed, ideal for a child. Both bedrooms have access to a balcony with fantastic views over the Chaudanne and up to Mottaret. Both ensuite bathrooms have a bath and separate shower.

We believe that food you are served on a ski chalet holiday should be freshly prepared, plentiful, delicious and accompanied with good wine. Simple!

We are self-confessed foodies and test our menu thoroughly (it's a tough job!) to ensure we provide tasty balanced meals for your stay. All our food is freshly prepared using locally bought ingredients and we are confident you won't leave the table anything less than full, happy and wondering what is for dinner the next day...

Each morning we serve a continental breakfast, which includes fresh breads, jams and spreads, yogurts and cereals. We also provide a daily cooked breakfast cooked to order on 5 mornings. You will leave our ski chalets, full and ready for a day on the slopes.

After a full day on the slopes what better way to refuel when you return to our ski chalets than with a freshly brewed tea or coffer and home-made cake? When you get back to the chalet you'll find a plate of cakes or cookies, bread, a selection of jams and teas, coffee or hot chocolate waiting for you.

We provide three delicious courses on 5 evenings, accompanied with red and white French wines (or beer if you prefer). Everything is freshly prepared in our ski chalet kitchen. In our luxury service chalets we also offer an additional cheese course. We offer a lovely help yourself Savoyard dinner on 1 staff night off, and leave you one staff night off to enjoy one of the many great local restaurants.

We are used to catering for a variety of dietary requirements including, vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose intolerance and a few fussy eaters! If you have a requirement or just don't like certain types of food we do everything we can to ensure you eat well during your stay with us. Just let us know your requirements when you book.

Children's 2 course meals especially for kids We put as much thought into our children's ski menu as our main menu. For guests aged 12 and under we offer tasty, freshly prepared 2-course children's meals served at an earlier time to the adult's dinner.

Chalet Sorbier is situated in an elevated position above the main street of Meribel to the side of the Doron piste. There is no vehicle access to the chalet in winter due to the nearby piste but this only adds to the magical setting of this lovely chalet amongst the pines trees. Access is via the escalator next to the Tourist Office and a short walk 200m across the piste and along a charming path. It is possible to ski from the chalet directly to the Chaudanne, the lift centre of Meribel.
