The Ecurie was built over 130 years ago as a humble family home, stable and barn. It has recently been lovingly restored, retaining the old timbers, authentic stone work and ultimately magic, to create what is now a cosy mountain retreat. This season, The Ecurie will be run by Ruth, who is both the owner and host of the chalet. She will use her knowledge, hospitality experience and love of providing high-quality service, to ensure you enjoy every moment of your stay at The Ecurie.
Connected to The 3 Valleys via the gondola in Saint Martin, the village of Villarabout provides access to the world’s largest ski area and has kept its charm and feeling of locality. Ruth has established great relationships over the years and feel well and truly part of this still secluded part of the Alps.
The Ecurie sleeps 6 guests across 3 beautifully cosy double bedrooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom. The rooms can be made up as double super king size beds or single beds according to your requirements. Each is sumptuously furnished to the expected standard, hopefully beyond.
This space at The Ecurie is undeniably the most impressive part of the chalet. The central fire lights this double height room with a warming glow that creates a magnificent but homely space where you can both relax and enjoy an atmospheric dining experience. The photos speak for themselves…
The Ecurie has been welcoming Chaletowners guests since 18 Sep 2017.
Your stay at The Ecurie promises to be personal, professional and tailored to each and every one of your requirements. Ruth’s exceptional personality and keen hospitality instincts set her apart from others. With her knowledge, experience and a love of providing high-quality service, she will be responsible for, and ensure you enjoy every moment of your stay at The Ecurie.
A lavish breakfast spread with cooked daily specials; indulgent afternoon tea and cake; a creative yet simple and refined 4 course evening meal of fresh, local ingredients; and chocolate truffles to finish - go on.
While you are offered a set menu, Ruth prides herself on offering food that is full of flavour for everyone regardless of specific dietary requirements, intolerances and allergies. In fact, she relishes in the challenge of creating vegan and vegetarian dishes that rival the alternative.
