We tend to be careful with our superlatives, suffice to say that we have had our eye on this previously privately owned chalet for the last decade, and are now absolutely thrilled to be offering it to the skiing public for the very first time.
La Petite Ferme is tucked away behind the church in the very centre of Val d’Isere. 1762 is carved in the stone at the back of the impressive fireplace, devised to spit-roast a wild deer for supper. This chalet is completely and absolutely unique with massive thick walls, original stone floor, huge timber beams and a vaulted living room with mezzanine. A sympathetic two-year restoration took place a few years ago, gently applying a contemporary veneer of luxury, from en suite bathrooms to wifi and wall mounted bedroom TVs. All of this has been fused with some classic furnishings and rich décor to make this a very special place indeed.
The accommodation is spread higgledy piggledy over two and a bit floors, with 3 bedrooms and an additional bunk room, a perfect choice for six to eight lucky guests.
Our Executive Chef is passionate about food and hugely sensitive to the appetite of a hungry skier whilst considering a balanced diet. The new and refined 2015/16 menus are heavy enough to reward mountain exertion yet light and simple enough to leave you grinning not groaning.
All our catered ski chalet holidays include: Continental breakfast with a cooked option on 6 mornings; Afternoon tea will be left in the chalet for you to help yourself to freshly made cake or biscuits, bread & jams, selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate; Canapés on the first and last evening; 3 course evening meal (6 nights) followed by cheese board and coffee; A choice of red and white wine is served throughout dinner.
We’ll connect you directly to the chalet host, your contemporary concierge who knows the chalet and can help you plan your entire trip. Chalet host is available in English.
