Gamelbarn enjoys the tranquillity and seclusion of a mountain retreat with breathtaking views, whilst being situated a 10 minute drive from the vast Portes du Soleil Region, renowned for its skiing in the winter and mountain biking and walking in the summer. This traditional farmhouse has been completely refurbished in 2021 to top end luxury standards. Every furnishing and finish has been chosen with the utmost care and no expense has been spared for your convenience and enjoyment.

The impressive, large open plan top floor living space has stunning panaramic views of the mountains. Sit around the open fire on cosy sofas with fur cushions and enjoy the comfort or relax on the lounger chairs whilst admiring the view and making the most of the Sonos sound system. ​​​​

Host dinner for up to 12 people around the large dining table and use the fully equipped kitchen or better still get caterers in to do this for you whilst you enjoy cocktails at the Bar and a game of Pool on the ground floor.

The Mezzanine room has a large TV, board games and cards, ideal for the children or the occassional poor weather days.

There is a desk and ultra fast wifi if you need to attend urgent conference calls or work whilst away.​

T​he bedrooms are all about attention to detail, with fur cushions and rugs, soft dressing gowns and fluffy towels for comfort, USB sockets by the beds, hairdryers, shaver sockets, toiletries and good lighting in the bathrooms for convenience.​​ Two master suites, both en-suite with shower and bath. Two twin rooms that can be made up as singles or doubles with a shared bathroom. Additional double sofa bed available on the mezzanine floor.​

In the winter the hot tub comes into it's own with a glass of champagne surounded by snow, the chill in the air and the most amazing night skies.​​​​​

The Portes du Soleil is home to 197 lifts, offering access to 650km of pisted runs, linking up 13 villages across France & Switzerland. Of those pistes, 105 are red runs and 26 black. Whilst it is not the highest area it boasts one of the bet snow records in Europe.

The chalet offers access to ski areas to suit all levels, with St Jean D’Aulp 5 minutes across the valley; the worlds best kept secret, quiet and ideal for beginners. Pleney lift is 10 minutes away to access Morzine and Les Gets and is ideal for all ski levels. Ardent is ten minutes away and provides access to Avoriaz for extra height for the best snow and access to Chatel in Switzerland and finally Super Morzine, also 10 minutes way provides a direct route to Avoriaz. ​

This also idyllic place for Summer holidays! Gamelbarn is situated in Mont D'Evian a small mountain hamlet which provides privacy and quiet.​

The south facing terrace gets drenched in sun from sunrise to sundown and with the beautiful mountain views and eagles circling over head it provides the perfect retreat to unwind.

Relax on the sun loungers or sofa area and take an afternoon dip in the hot tub to cool down before preparing a BBQ supper and dining under the stars. Finish off the day snuggled up on the sofas with the firepit blazing and if you are really lucky you might catch a glimpse of the wild boar and deers.

Portes Du Soleil is the largest cross border mountain biking area in the Alps with 25 mountain lifts and 5 bike parks and host to the MTB World Championships but is it also a haven for hikers. Other activities include horse riding, white water rafting, paragliding, zipwires, high ropes, golf and fishing.

Morzine has a large open air swimming complex with multiple pools and slides. The picturesque lake Montriond is 10 minutes away and a trip to Evian on the shore of lake Geneva offers water sports and the famous Spa.

Gamelbarn has been welcoming Chalet Owners guests since 2022.

The chalet is offered on a self-catered basis. The newly equipped kitchen has a double oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge and larder.

For mountain biking Portes Du Soleil is the largest cross border MTB area in Europe with 25 mountain lifts and 5 bike parks and host to the MTB World Championships. For walkers there are multiple walks from the doorstep including the climb up to the top of the imposing Mont D’Evian that forms the backdrop for the chalet.

The chalet offers access to ski areas to suit all levels, with St Jean D’Aulp – 5 minutes across the valley; ideal for beginners, Super Morzine and Pleney lifts 10 minutes away to access Morzine and Les Gets; ideal for all ski levels and Ardent lift to Linderets and Avoriaz, also 10 minutes away; for advanced skiers, extra height for the best snow and access to Chatel in Switzerland.

Montriond lake is 15 minutes away for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking in an unbelievably beautiful setting.

Morzine has a large outdoor swimming pool, white water rafting and horse riding, with frequent outdoor events hosted on the stage in the town square and a vast array of restaurants.

There is a large Carrefour supermarket 5 minutes from the chalet.
