Hugged on all sides by phenomenal scenery, Chalet Baloo nestles in a beautiful valley of Serre-Chevalier Le Monêtier-les-Bains on the fringes of Ecrins National Park, where magnificent glaciers and pretty valleys will take your breath away.

Picture the scene of snow-covered mountains wrapped around charming wooden chalets – something you would only expect to see in a story book. This stunning lodge sits in the most beautiful area and is just a 10-minute walk from the ski lifts, or you could take advantage of the free bus that takes you to the slopes. Here, you’ll find shops that rent out all the equipment you need and provide you with information about the local area. If you walk five minutes from the chalet, you’ll reach the local village with its numerous restaurants, shops, bakery and bar.

The Chalet Baloo is certainly extra-ordinary. Not only will you fall in love with the ultra-stylish design, you’ll be wowed by the wealth of facilities on offer.

The spacious timber interiors are offset by soft throws and cushions, woollen rugs and interesting artwork. This cool combination of contemporary and rustic-chic design gives the lodge a homely warmth with show-stopping qualities.

Spend evenings chatting by the fire or take a dip in the indoor heated pool. The pool is a fabulous addition to the lodge and looks out onto snow-capped mountains and towering conifers. Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows that open out onto the terrace, you can enjoy the scenery and welcome the outdoors in.

You’ll also find a sauna and indoor Jacuzzi – perfect for warming up after a day on the slopes. The children will be equally impressed with the large games room and billiards table, dance floor and cosy cinema room. There’s also a ski room, which comes in very handy for storing all your equipment, coats and boots.

The lodge accommodates up to 16 guests and is intended for large groups of friends or families. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped and features a long table made for social dining.

Each of the five bedrooms is individually designed with playful pops of colour, all the latest in technology and ensuite shower or bathroom. Three of the rooms feature their own private balcony – we’ll leave you to argue who gets to stay in these rooms!

Children will love the specially designed bedroom with cabin beds, climbing wall and funky furniture.
