Boasting breathtaking views of the iconic Matterhorn, the Christiania Penthouse is the perfect base for a fantastic winter ski holiday.
Completed in 2017, this stunning penthouse apartment is one Zermatt’s most enviable properties.
Its prime location in the centre of town means it is just a stone’s throw from the bustling high street and only 500m from the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise which allows you direct access the main ski area.
Set over two floors, there are seven bedrooms in total. All the bedrooms have been designed with maximum comfort in mind and all have desks, TV’s and safes. They are all wonderfully spacious with large super-king size beds or they can be split into twins. Most of the bedrooms have either a private or a shared terrace and some have comfy seating areas.
There are five bedrooms with en-suite or private shower/bathrooms, whilst two of the bedrooms share a bathroom, and these bedrooms can be closed off from the rest of the floor if you wish to make a family suite.
The master bedroom has incredible views of the Matterhorn, a wood burning fireplace, en-suite bathroom, walk-in wardrobe and a spacious terrace.
Moving upstairs you enter the extremely spacious and elegant open plan sitting and dining area. There is a lift which runs throughout the property and opens directly into the living area should you have guests visiting.
During the day, sunlight pours into the room through the huge floor to ceiling sliding doors which open out onto to the sun-drenched balcony. From the large balcony you can see the majestic Matterhorn standing proud.
In the evening, sophisticated lighting combined with the wonderful wood burning fireplace create a wonderfully cosy and relaxing atmosphere. It is the perfect space in which to socialise and entertain. The main dining table can sit up to 18 people, and, if required, it can be extended to seat up to 26 guests.
The penthouse apartment also has a private sauna which is perfect for loosening aching muscles after a long day on the mountain. Entertainment facilities include a cinema room which is located on the top floor next to the main open plan living and dining room.
The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and has a small breakfast bar, which provides the perfect spot for having a glass of wine while watching your chef prepare dinner. The views from the kitchen are fantastic as they overlook the quaint town of Zermatt.
Christiania Penthouse occupies the top two floors of the brand new Christiania Residence. On the lower ground floor of the building there is a well-equipped gym with massage room and shower area. The ski room has private lockers for each apartment and there are heated boot warmers. A lift runs throughout the building.
The Christiania Penthouse can be taken alongside other apartments in the building to create the perfect corporate chalet in Zermatt. The dining table can sit up to 26 people if required.

With self-catered service, housekeeping is provided seven days of the week. Luxury bathroom products from Acqua di Parma, the finest linen and fresh towels are provided, with the towels being changed mid-week. Your concierge will welcome you to your property and can arrange restaurant bookings, ski instruction, off-piste guides, heli-skiing, winter activities, and childcare at your request. As our concierges are all highly-qualified ski or snowboard instructors, they also have a wealth of knowledge about the mountain and prevailing weather conditions. We can also arrange additional services for you during the week at an additional charge including private chefs, serving staff, driver service, and additional towel or linen changes. All additional services are subject to availability.
On catered basis your property will be staffed by a team of seasoned winter professionals who have been trained to understand the subtle details that make a catered ski holiday exceptional and unforgettable. Our team is passionate about using locally sourced, seasonal produce and working alongside our valued suppliers your chef will work with you to create an evening menu perfectly tailored to your group. Children, dietary requirements, and any other specific requests will be discussed prior to your arrival. And even during your stay, the staff will be willing to adapt the menu plan to accommodate your wishes.
