The garden has a wonderful grass lawn with flower borders in the summer, and is covered in snow in the winter. Perfect for kids whatever the season. And in its centre is the old grinding stone from the original water mill.
Freshly renovated this year, the Vieux Moulin Apartment features high quality Scandinavian style furniture and a Sonos sound system. The beds are superbly comfortable! There are two double bedrooms (one with twin mattresses), while the third bedroom has two single beds which can be pushed together. There is just one bathroom, with a bath-tub and separate shower and WC. The kitchen with its marble work surface is spacious and open plan, with everything you might need – dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge-freezer, Nespresso machine.
And the heart of old Zermatt is literally around the corner, with numerous shops, amenities and restaurants, while the electric ski bus stop is just around the other corner. Although you are in the middle of this bustling resort, the Vieux Moulin - Old Mill House - sits in an oasis of calm, where the main things you will hear are bird song and the church bells.
