Located in the old village of Saint Martin de Belleville, this former farmhouse benefits from generous floor space and unobstructed views over the Belleville valley. Enlarged and renovated, the property now combines the charms of tradition with the comfort of today.
La Ferme 1779 has retained some of the characteristics of traditional houses, including vaulted barns, stone walls, spacious attics and timber framing. Spread over three levels, it now accommodates 10 adults and 5 children thanks to its six bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The large living room is located in the former barn, under the cover of a superb traditional roof structure.
The open plan living room, TV room, dining area and open kitchen are arranged around a central fireplace. The decoration combines local materials such as larch and slate with contemporary materials such as Corian, steel and glass to strike a balance between tradition and modernity.
The ground floor, with its vaulted ceilings typical of the old stables, features a relaxation area with a sauna and a hammam.
From the chalet, a charming pedestrian street leads in 5 minutes to the village square, with its baroque church, shops and restaurants. From the square, you can reach the wide open spaces of the 3 Valleys thanks to the Village ski lift. Skiing the largest ski area in the world, and taking refuge in the evening in the cocoon of the Ferme 1779, that's the secret of happiness!
