At an altitude of 1950m, Le Fornet is the perfect base to explore the Val d’Isère ski area and especially the powder stashes of the Grand Vallon. Chalet Loup has five bedrooms split over three floors and sleeps 10 people in total. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms and one of the bedrooms is configured as a bunk room, perfect if you have children. Chalet Loup is offered on a self-catered basis and is one of the best luxury chalets for groups that would like a quiet location and to have more independence on their luxury ski holiday.

Chalet Loup is one of the oldest buildings in Val d’isère and has been wonderfully restored in 2021 to an exceptional standard, keeping unique original features such as the covered wooden terrace. This luxury ski chalet has thick deep walls and really gives a feel of protection and cosiness when you are inside. Entry into the chalet is on the ground floor where you will find the first two bedrooms, one of which is a bunk room and perfect for children, although the beds are adult size. Climbing the winding central stairs brings you to three perfectly formed ensuite bedrooms. Beautiful grey wood interiors and Les Cinq Frères’ fabrics brings a contemporary balanced feel to this historic village stone building. Each bedroom boasts its own bathroom with either a bathtub or a shower and finished in light or dark marble. Ascending to the highest floor you pass the wooden terrace that faces west and leads down to an outdoor hot tub. The terrace is the perfect spot to catch the spring evening sun with an aperitif in hand. The living and dining room occupies the whole of the top floor of the building and is a beautiful open plan space. Budding chefs will love the sociable, open plan and well-equipped kitchen, set up perfectly to still enjoy the company of those cozied up beside the wood burning fire in the lounge area. The dining table contrasts brown wood with soft Scandinavian grey chairs and allows for a calming space to enjoy supper. There is also an additional reading space that gives views over the Le Fornet village and Vanoise National Park.

Chalet Loup is self-catered and there is no driving service allocated to this property, however this can be added as a bookable extra. There is no additional food or wine included in the service with this chalet but there is a wine list from which you can purchase bottles from our cellar if you like. There is a limited concierge service with the property that will absolutely help you with organising getting to and from Val d'Isère and your ski equipment. We can arrange your lift passes so you don't have to queue.
