Zermatt luxury catered and self-catered Chalet Gemini is one of our unique and for Zermatt very rare, residence: a luxurious free standing three storey chalet with 5 double bedrooms.

Its location provides the best of both worlds: spectacular views and easy access. 200m from the Matterhorn Express base lift station and resort run, there is a street level tunnel which leads you to a lift (elevator) built inside the mountain, from the top of which there is a gentle 2 minute walk to the property. The chalet comes with an electro wagon and stair lift which our staff will use to move your luggage and shopping as required.

This luxurious free standing ski chalet has 5 double bedrooms, large enough for families or groups of up to ten. Four bedrooms can be configured as twins, and all have en suite bathrooms and TV. There is also a private sauna and wellness area and an outdoor jacuzzi on the large private terrace.

Tucked against a beautiful hillside, the numerous balconies and large terraces give you bird’s eye views of the village and the surrounding mountains, encompassing all three of Zermatt’s ski areas. This is an ideal location being close to the main lift station, the ski runs and the village centre.

The tunnel and elevator bring you up high above the village providing a true sense of high mountain seclusion and tranquility with breathtaking views. Although it does not have a direct Matterhorn view, the chalet is bathed in sun as soon as it emerges.

Guests can leave theirs skis and boots in the tunnel’s ski-room. The entrance to the tunnel is 200 metres from the end of the ski runs beneath the Matterhorn Express lift station, just a 4 minute walk from the church square.

On the ground floor the chalet features an entrance hallway that opens onto a living room with a wood fire, satellite TV/DVD and music system, open plan dining area with separate kitchen.

We have tastefully decorated the chalet, delicately combining an alpine, cosy and contemporary finish, with liberal use of wood and stone.

It has all the latest technology with flat-screen TVs, more than a hundred satellite channels, a fireplace and geothermal heating to reduce the chalet’s carbon foot-print as much as possible.

The chalet has its own sauna and unique outdoor hot-tub surrounded by snow (depending on snow conditions) – perfect to relax and enjoy the view (or the stars…) after a long day in the mountains.

Zermatt luxury catered ski chalet Gemini is a rare gem; a large freestanding chalet which we have conceived to meet your needs and wishes to the fullest possible extent.

Chalet Gemini is opposite Chalet Castor (sleeps 8) and next to Chalet Pollux as well as our other luxury freestanding chalet, Chalet Ibron, which sleeps a further 8 people. All these chalets may be rented together (Les Perles) enabling a group of up 16,18, 24, 26 or 34 guests to stay in the same location while benefiting from the space and privacy that only a sole-occupancy luxury chalet can provide.

The chalet is available on a self-catered or catered basis.

When you book on a half board basis, your dedicated team of 2 members of staff, your private Chalet Chef and Chalet Host & Concierge, will be looking after you before, during and after your stay. They will offer you a very high standard of half-board dining and service in the chalet, while our dedicated housekeeping team will take care of the daily cleaning. Our chefs are carefully chosen not only for their superior skills and experience, but also for their friendly, flexible and approachable nature. All have extensive restaurant experience, and many have trained in Michelin starred establishments. You can of course have your menus tailored to your likes and we will be glad to take into account any special requirements such as gluten intolerance.

To meet our client’s needs and desires we offer a wide range of support services. Our resident bookings and concierge team will ensure that you get the most out of your holiday and will help you select a number of other services. These may include child care, health and beauty treatments, planning your heli-skiing adventures, designing and hosting corporate events, or simply booking your restaurants, ski lessons and transfer arrangements.

From the elevator exit there is a 200 metre walk to the chalet entrance, which is at the top of a short exterior staircase. The chalet comes with an electro transporter which our staff will use to move your luggage and shopping as required. Ski equipment is left in the ski room down in the tunnel.
