Maison D’Hiver has a 5 star classification, sleeps 12 and includes a chalet manager who will be in touch before your arrival to ensure you have everything you need. The chalet is perfectly set up to accommodate up to two families each with their own private floor for sleeping.

Maison D’Hiver is basked in sun from dawn until dusk in a truly desirable corner of Les Gets with the most decadent chalets. In the evening the lighting in the chalet is very ambient and sets a very relaxing scene.

The five en-suite bedrooms and the bunk den sleep 12 comfortably. Two of the en-suite rooms can be set up with 2 single beds or a king size bed, offering flexibility. The accommodation is split over the top and bottom floors with the living area on the middle floor so it is perfect for two families on holiday together or just those who wish for a good degree of privacy. Entertainment for guests includes a hot tub, cinema/x box room, table tennis table and table football. On arrival all beds will be made up with high quality pure linen bedding and fluffy towels.

On the ground floor there are three en-suite bedrooms with views and a terrace with a hot tub accessed from two of the bedrooms. The front door opens onto the middle floor which has a large open plan living and dining area for 12 with log burner; kitchen including a breakfast bar; a separate cinema room with an X-box (a child magnet!); access to the garden and two balconies with further seating for relaxing and dining and further views. The upper floor consists of 2 en-suite bedrooms (including one extremely large bedroom with views) and a very cosy bunk den (or coin de montagne to sleep two).

In addition to a selection of board games there is table football in the boot room (which keeps everyone entertained whilst getting ready for skiing) and a table tennis table. There are sledges and shovels on hand for the most important tasks of building snowmen, igloos and sledge runs in the garden! On a practical note the kitchen has two dishwashers and two Miele ovens. Off the kitchen is a larder / laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and drying rack. There are heated cupboards for drying damp clothes and keeping items warm on both the lower ground and ground levels.

This is not a chalet that has been built for the rental market, it is very much a home that has been created for our family for the long term to enjoy and rent to the right people when we are not using it. I hope we can tempt you to give it a try.

The chalet is offered as self catered however you can have as much catering as you like! Please discuss your preferences at the time of booking and we can point you in the direction of organising everything from Breakfast to Evening dining in or out! We don’t have live in staff at the chalet but Les Gets offers a strong selection of catering options from pre-prepared food delivered to your door; private chefs cooking your meals on selected nights and restaurants booked for you. It is not uncommon to enjoy lazy lunches on the slopes or in town, and then hunker down in the evenings for simple suppers. The mixture of the odd night out in town for fine dining and a few delivered home cooked meals during the week can be a good blend.

There are two supermarkets in Les Gets plus a large number of patisseries, two butchers, lots of cheese and local produce shops and a weekly market. There are also endless restaurants in the village and on the mountains!

We can help you design your ideal holiday including catering, so you can be as decadent as you like with pre-prepared food delivered to your door; private chefs cooking your meals on selected nights and restaurants booked for you. Equally you may choose to do none of the above, it is entirely up to you!

Maison D’Hiver is a short drive to the slopes and for complete convenience comes with two private car parking spaces next to the main ski station in the centre of town in the new luxurious Chalet 1839 complex by the ice rink. You won’t have to do more than a few steps in ski boots! If you are determined to put your car away for the week then you can just take the complementary bus to the slopes and if the snow conditions are right you can ski back to the chalet. The chalet is a mile up the first mountain road you reach when you arrive in Les Gets and 5-7 minutes drive into the village.

Once in the village a little train drives around between the two sides of the mountain offering free rides. There is also a convenient night bus service that operates in Les Gets and taxi services.
